| Midwest Finesse FishingApril 18th, 2013
The local expert on Midwest Finesse fishing is a man named Ned Kehde. The following is what some people refer to as the Ned Rig. Below, is a simple explaination: What you need is a Spinning Rod and Reel spooled with light braid and a flourocarbon leader. Tie on a small 1/16oz to 1/8oz jig head ( some people really like a mushroom shaped jig heads) the jig head color can be chartreuse or other colors
Put a Z-Man Zinker Z (senko type bait) cut in 1/2 on the jig. The plastic choice has many variations inside the Z Man product offering that work well, but the 1/2 senko is an excellent choice. As far as color- try them all green pumpkin, PB& J white etc. all work.
Casting- grab the jig head and begin pitching it around you favorite spots and let the fun begin. The number of bass you will catch with this rig is incredible. Also, you will occasional catch large bass, crappie, walleye, trout and just about anything that swims.
